Mother's Day Giveaway on Facebook

Is there a special woman in your life who is a mom? Do you think she deserves a little extra somthing for Mother's Day? Nominate her! Now! Do it!

The Giveaway: Nominate your Mom (or your sister, wife, girlfriend, auntie, grandma, baby mama, mother of your fur children, etc.). I've revised the rules/guidelines for submission: The winner will be picked at random by our friends and Random.Org.
The revised rules are incredibly simple:

1. Your Nominee's first name and their relationship to you (i.e. Juli/Mama).

2. Number of "Children", for the necklace if they win.

3. You still can't nominate yourself.

4. You  must be a "fan" of the Juli's Jewels facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/JulisJewels

5. No purchase necessary to win.

More fun with FIRE!

I am trying to stop neglecting my oh so long neglected blog...So, here's a post about what I've been doing lately.

More fun with FIRE!

I have been playing with torch-fired enamels on copper, and frankly, I'm loving it! It is giving me a chance to use my hot tools (hand torch, kiln, etc.) for something more than just metal clay. I like to multipurpose my tools when I can.

Here are a few images of the stuff I've been making. Hopefully there will be a tutorial in the near future.

My very first piece!

A custom heart for a friend

I'll be spending a good deal of time in my garage with copper, enamels and torch handy. Yay!

Third Saturday Fun

Hi all! Just a quick reminder, this Saturday is Third Saturday (I know, already!). The Sacramento News and Reviews 3rd Saturday event, Design Downtown is this Saturday from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm on K, 10th & 11th Streets. This month there will be two stages and even more cool stuff (although, I can't imagine how you can top the fire dancers, they were awesome!). I hope to see you there.
